Côte d'Azur Attractions  As you might expect the emphasis in this region is on sun, sea and sand.  Amongst our favourite attractions are the Aqualand water parks, ideal for those days when you want to have a bit of fun in the water without battling amongst the sun worshippers!  The region also boasts some remarkable scenery with the incredible Massif de l'Esterel, the Lerins Islands and the Gorge du Verdon, the world's second largest gorge, just a couple of hours drive inland.

Marineland

Location: Located just north of Antibes.  Take the Route de NIce north from Antibes and after around 4km turn left at the roundabout onto the D4 to Biot.  Marineland is almost immediately on the right.
General Info: The park opens daily at 10AM until late.  Annual closing 03 January to 11 February 2011.  Entry costs €36 per adult and €28 per child (2011 prices).  Multi-park passes and other special offers are available, see the website http://www.marineland.fr/page-_en.php  for full information.
Description:
Whilst the entry price is quite expensive, this sealife centre is really well worth visiting.  You can enter early in the day and stay until late in the evening to see all the different shows.  If you want a really special experience you can book (for an additional €69 per person!) to actually get in the water with the dolphins.  Height restriction applies.
Our recommendations: The attraction is highly recommended by the Walker family from Fleet who visited in 2009 (thanks guys for suggesting it!).  During the middle of the day when it’s really hot, head inside to see the aquarium.
Accessible for allFor the children: The children will love to see the dolphins, sea lions and killer whales.

It's a long time since we visited the Côte d'Azur with the children and they don't remember much about it.  So we can't offer a list of their favourites here.  If you would like to propose some, please send us your feedback.
