Corn
Maze
Location:
In Creysse near Rocamadour
Description: This is a massive maze created in a field of maize, in
the middle of a walnut grove. There are excellent facilities and a nice
picnic area. It is not expensive and is usually quiet even in the peak
season. We took about 3 hours to find our way through and that was only
achieved by using the map provided and carefully plotting our route. When
we were last there, there were actors dressed up in costumes as part of an
Egyptian theme which added to
the fun.
Our recommendations: Potentially a really good addition to a trip
to
Rocamadour
as it is a bit out of the way for central Dordogne and you
may wish to make a day of it. On a hot day take hats and
plenty of drinking water as there isn't much shade in the maze itself.
Mazes move on from time to time, call ahead to check
it is operating.
For the children: They will just love this place, there is so much
space to run around. Even older children will find it a challenge to
complete the maze. |
