Scarecrow displays in MeyralsDordogne Attractions  Don't be misled by the fact that there are only three major attractions listed here.  The  Dordogne is full of places to visit, so many that they have separate groupings of their own - see our sections on caves, chateaux, museums and towns.  The attractions listed here don't fit into another grouping but are worthy of a mention.  Pictured opposite are the fascinating scarecrow displays in Meyrals on the D35 between Le Bugue and Sarlat.

Gardens at le Manoir d'EyrignacGardens at le Manoir d'Eyrignac

Location: Near Salignac-Eyvigues, north east of Sarlat.
General Info:
Open all year and in the period June to September without interruption.  Call for further information on 05 53 28 99 71. English website about the gardens.
Description: This is a beautifully prepared, prize winning 18th century classical French garden with many water features and topiary hedges.  We believe that these days you have to join a guided tour which makes it much less flexible.
Our recommendations: Just plan to spend a few hours there.
For the children: Of limited value for them.
