Lot-et-Garonne & Tarn Attractions  - spread over a wide area and perhaps overshadowed by its more famous neighbour (the Dordogne), however the region still has plenty to interest you during your holiday, with enchanting towns and villages, spectacular rivers, chateaux, caves and more besides.  Also, although a long way from the sea, there are no shortage of swimming lakes (Base de Loisirs) where you can cool down in those hot summer months.

L’Azinet Donkey Rides

Location: From Sarrant, follow the road around the back of the medieval centre and then follow the donkey signs to L’Azinet.

Description: This is a very relaxed farm in the middle of nowhere offering donkey rides and horse drawn carriages.  There are also a number of small animals you are invited to see at the end of your stay.
Our recommendations: Visit the nearby medieval village of Sarrant in the first week of August for its medieval festival.  This is a delightful setting although a smaller event than you might expect.
For the children:  Young animal lovers will find L’Azinet an absolute delight.  They are able to choose their own donkey and after a short explanation about how to control the beast, you are then left to follow a set course at your own pace.
