The resort is a great choice for all the family, with excellent skiing, large choice of accommodation and plenty to do when off the slopes. A well-researched microclimate and high snow depths, due to the northerly latitude and location between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. Easy access to the high altitude & snow-sure resort of Avoriaz. Many places to stay are in outlying villages far from the slopes and town centre. These require a minibus journey daily to and from the slopes. Skiing Lessons:

Morzine is fortunate to have many excellent ski schools, from the French national ski school (ESF) to smaller independent schools such as the British Alpine Ski School (BASS). Group and private lessons are available.

Ski Equipment: As in most resorts there is plenty of choice. We advise arranging in resort as opposed to committing to cheap yet often substandard equipment in advance via the internet. We can recommend Felix Ski shop, who Simply Morzine have chosen for their on-piste location, high standards of the latest equipment and friendly, attentive service to families.

Child Care:

This is a very child friendly resort. Morzine has two British run childcare services, so whilst you ski your children can be cared for in a happy and safe environment. Jack Frosts and Cheeky Monkeys both have experienced English speaking staff.

Food Choice: Many chalets and hotels provide excellent in-house meals. The local restaurants cater for most budgets and tastes, from pizza and pasta to steaks and hearty meat dishes, local Savoyard specialities and gourmet haute French cuisine. There are also a wide range of scenic mountain restaurants and snack bars.

Money saving tip: Lift passes can be bought for the vast ‘Porte du Soleil’ area, or save money by purchasing a local ‘Morzine/Les Gets’ pass.
